Presence, Of Purpose

By betwixt Autumn chill
And minor occurrences of no obligation
Half-cans look for reflections
In the shadow of a lamp post
Glowing like dental surgery
Faces flushed prussian blue
From swallowing anesthesia and lake air,
City  blocks lost between pillows-
Sleeping curbside of being a treasured feeling,
Ten cents better than holding hands,
Recycling self-worth into love
As an act of preservation,
Lake Michigan is a mirror
Shoreline adorned with sand castles and lip lanterns
Like light houses standing cautiously magnificent,
Ambrosia sipped recklessly
From collar bone bottles,
Still water
Glistening images of each other,
Life as if
As opposed to is,
Showing breath
Spoken and soft
Between fleeting candles
Floating amongst open hands
A clear head
Concise
Thought processes
A life frantic yet timeless
Is all that is asked
For

I'm a genderless poet currently living in Central Michigan where I attend college for Environmental Science and English. Nature's some cool shit, frisbee's a neat activity, fountain pens are best pens, Latakia for life, coffee and tea keep these gears turning.
